Is Plasma Pen better than Microneedling?

The answer is yes and no. It just depends on the condition of the client’s skin and what you want to achieve with the treatment. Because these two techniques have different effects.
I am going to give you examples of which technique is better to achieve the best results with clients in different cases.

The plasma technique targets the problem in the region you are treating because it tightens the skin surface and reduces the excess of sagging skin.
And microneedling solves the problem that you treat with microneedles and brings a cocktail into the deeper layers of the skin and thus encouraging skin regeneration and improving the overall appearance of the skin.

A plasma pen is great for clients with:

  • sagging skin,
  • deep wrinkles,
  • acne scars,
  • scars,
  • stretch marks,
  • warts, keratosis, blemishes, and skin tags, they would like to remove.

You can use a plasma pen with acne and fractional tips. Then you can do these treatments:

  • hydrate the skin with cocktails that you will enter with a fractional tip
  • treat acne,
  • reduce infection with an acne tip.

Microneedling is great for these clients:

  • full-face treatment for dry and dehydrated skin,
  • skin with shallow wrinkles,
  • face with hyperpigmentation,
  • stretch marks,
  • scars and acne scars,
  • thin hair,
  • alopecia.

I really like to combine these two techniques, and in some situations, I achieved great results just because of that.
A great combination of plasma pen and microneedling is great for these clients:

  • deeper wrinkles,
  • stretch marks,
  • acne scars,
  • scars
