Fortunately, because of advancements, you can undergo a highly effective nonsurgical acne scar treatment known as plasma fibroblast treatment. Offered at your beauty center these treatments, you can help rejuvenate the client’s skin and promotes natural tissue healing.
The plasma pen treatment is a skin tightening procedure that is non-invasive, focusing on the top layer of skin. It can reduce fine lines, sagging skin, and other facial imperfections like acne scars, sun spots, cherry angiomas, skin tags, and stretch marks. This device can deliver wrinkle, acne scars reduction without the long recovery time of invasive plastic surgery.
How It Works
The plasma pen is the device used in fibroblast treatment, and it stimulates fibroblast cellular activity. Fibroblasts are the principal active cell of connective tissue. Fibroblasts produce tropocollagen, which is the forerunner of collagen, and ground substance, an amorphous gel-like matrix that fills the spaces between cells and fibers in connective tissue.
Fibroblasts appear to play an important role in wound healing, and this activity is thought to be regulated by cells known as fibrocytes residing in the tissue stroma. Following tissue injury, fibroblasts migrate to the site of damage, where they deposit new collagen and facilitate the healing process.
The plasma is a gas that heats and disrupts down to the dermal layers of the skin. The pen causes micro-injury to the skin tissue that promotes the growth of new skin. The skin will be removed, forming tiny scabs that will protect the skin from infection. The plasma pen creates a tiny dot on the skin in the designated treatment area.
The plasma pen skin tightening treatment can take up to two hours, depending on the size of the treatment area. We apply a numbing cream to the area being targeted. This will prevent any discomfort during the procedure.
The Days Following Treatment
It is crucial for your client not to pick at skin after the procedure. To not remove the scabs, instead, it’s important to let them heal naturally. Protected with sunscreen to heal the skin quicker. Once the scabs have healed, your client can return to the usual skincare routine.
Specific lifestyle changes can increase the longevity of the results. By staying out of the sun and applying sunscreen, your client can protect the skin from future damage.
I share with you an example of how I teach my students to do acne scar treatment. This gave me the best results. My recommendation is to combine plasma treatment with micro-needling treatment. Micro-needling is the process of inserting tiny needles into the skin surrounding the scar to stimulate the body to make more collagen. This collagen may reduce the appearance of acne scars by smoothing out the skin. To do a series of 4 micro-needling treatments and then plasma treatment. That’s a complete hit!
